A glimpse of the future…
It was evident from walking around the exhibition floor and listening to the speakers at the event that precast concrete has the potential to be at the heart of a sustainable and digitally-enabled construction future. Whether it was donning the VR headset to take a virtual tour of a building with our title sponsor, Trimble Tekla UK, or hearing key infrastructure clients Anglian Water on stage challenging suppliers to deliver low carbon concrete, the message was clear … embrace innovation.

A variety of messages…
The events speaker programme brought a variety of messages to an engaged audience. The talks included updates to members from the UK concrete staff including setting out the economic and political landscape and the latest innovations in low carbon cements and designing out carbon from precast elements. Delegates also heard from external speakers who amongst other things asked the precast sector to be the enabler within the building insurance industry, to deliver low carbon products in the infrastructure sector and to adopt digital connectivity and environmental data provision.

A huge thank you to our sponsor Trimble UK and to all our members, exhibitors, speakers, and delegates for making this year’s event a great success. Putting on the event each year takes a huge effort from not only the team at MPA Precast and MPA Masonry but also from the wider team at UK concrete, the Concrete Centre and MPA. That investment continues to pay off when we are able to bring together such a well-respected and supported event.
It only gets bigger from here…
This year’s event was an undeniable success; however, there is more to come! Being the first event back after the restrictions of the last two years, the event was scaled back in size. Listening to feedback we know it is important to get dates in the diary early so we are delighted to confirm the event will be back next year on the 18th of May 2023. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year for what promises be to an even bigger event!
