Golf Day 2016: In Review

Many thanks to Elkem, CPM and Cemex Admixtures for sponsoring our Golf Day at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield on June 15th.
Despite heavy rain overnight the PGA Course was playable but was a challenge with little run. The event received a great turnout with members and guests travelling from as far afield as Scotland. Scoring the Stableford format, individual and team scores were counted as well as the traditional longest drive and nearest the pin.
Golf trickster, David Edwards presented an entertaining and highly skilful trick show on the first tee before awarding the days prizes.
Over dinner in the Ryder room at The Belfry a short film on each of the attendees as they teed off from the first was played. With outrageous understated commentary from David Edwards, it provided an hilarious climax to the “best golf day ever”.
